Weight Management

Allow us to help participate in a sustainable weight management future.

What's the big deal?

Excess weight has been implicated in a host of processes and diseases known to worsen health outcomes. Individuals who suffer from this condition are at increased risk of heart attack, stroke, osteoarthritis and chronic pain to name a few.

How can we help?

It is important to recognize that you are not alone in your journey. At your initial visit, in addition to reviewing labs, body composition measurements will be made as a baseline for progress to be measured against at subsequent visits. We will review your history as well as previous modalities tried. Additionally, it will be important to establish fitness goals to complement the other methods of weight loss that we will pursue.

What medications can be considered?

There are multiple classes of medications that are utilized for weight management. Initially, it may be valuable to utilize some treatments that emphasize vitamins and minerals. As needed, we can progress to other medications like Phentermine and Semaglutide. As previously stated, there is limited utility of any medication or supplement without a dedicated nutrition and fitness regimen on board. Many principles of strength training can be utilized in any patient as long as prescription is appropriate to training level.
